Privacy Policy

• Information you submit through our forms. Vest sponsorship requests, grant applications, and volunteer sign-ups are collected through forms hosted by Tally, and may include your name, email address, phone number, department or agency, and the details you provide in the form.
• Donation information. Donations are processed by PayPal. PayPal shares with us the information needed to acknowledge your gift — typically your name, email address, and donation amount. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
• Order information. Merchandise and calendar orders are processed through our Shopify store, which handles your payment, shipping, and contact details in order to fulfill the order.
• Email list. If you ask to join our mailing list, we store your email address (and name, if you give it) with our email provider.

• We do not run our own analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking on this website.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not use your email address for anything other than occasional updates about our mission, events, and K-9 teams. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us.

We use the information above to acknowledge and receipt donations, fulfill merchandise orders, review vest requests and grant applications, coordinate volunteers and events, send requested updates, and meet our record-keeping obligations as a 501(c)(3) organization.

We may share information when it is necessary to operate — for example, with the K-9 handler or department connected to a sponsorship — or when required by law.

We rely on the following providers, each of which collects and processes data under its own privacy policy: PayPal (donations), Shopify (store and checkout), Tally (forms), and our email newsletter provider. Event registration links may take you to third-party platforms operated by the event host. We encourage you to review those policies; the data those companies collect directly is governed by them, not by this policy.

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Embedded third-party services such as our Shopify store and Tally forms may set cookies necessary to operate their own features, such as keeping items in your cart.

We keep donation and order records for as long as needed for non-profit accounting and tax purposes, and we keep form submissions and mailing list entries only as long as they are useful to our mission or until you ask us to remove them.

To ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email info@mavestadog.org. We will respond as promptly as our volunteer staffing allows. Some records tied to donations may need to be retained for tax and accounting reasons.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Students and youth groups often fundraise on our behalf — in those cases we ask that a parent, teacher, or group leader be our point of contact. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
